Cuba Vacation Essentials

I am currently sitting here in the hotel lobby in the middle of my beach vacation writing this post. I very much underestimated the amount of access I would have to internet out here and this is the first time I am able to connect without problems. So here is one post, and I will get another one up on Saturday and then next week the regular schedule will be in place again (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).  I apologize for my lack of content on here this week, it wasn’t my intention, but you live and learn and next vacation I will pre-upload all my posts before I get on the plane.

Going on vacation is great, packing for the getaway is not. While getting my stuff ready to depart, I decided to snap a few pics showcasing my beach essentials.

Of course, I brought more on this trip than what is shown, such as actual clothes, a toothbrush, and my camera. These are items I was excited about packing, recently purchased, or only get to use when on vacation in the south.

The first item I was stoked to pull out of my closet and put into my suitcase was my H&M Straw Hat. I picked this up during a very hot summer trip to Austria and needed the sun protection. I was also more than happy to grab my beach wrap that resembles Esmeralda’s dress from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

During the couple weeks prior to my departure, I popped into Victoria’s Secret a couple times and bought these two pieces. My most-wanted piece was the Itsy Bikini Bottom, because the back is very revealing and sexy. I also bought the Teeny Triangle Top since I liked the straps in the back and the colour looks great with the black bottoms.

I, of course, needed to bring my passport, seeing as Canada does not have sunny beachy weather at the end of October, this vacation required me to cross borders and land in the Caribbean.

As for skincare, sunscreen is an essential, without question. My favourite face sun protection is the Biotherm Face Multi-Protection Sun Cream SPF 30, because it is lightweight, non-greasy, smells nice and hydrates the skin. I’ve also been trying out and loving the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

A couple other items I brought were my Rayban Wayfarers and a Deborah Lipman Nail Polish in Mermaid’s Dream.

Let me know which items you won’t forget to pack on your next beach vacation.

(Stay tuned in a future post for my thoughts about the All-Inclusive Resort life in Cuba)

xx
