Walking in to a drugstore is almost like walking into Sephora, the chances of walking out empty-handed are almost nil. The only difference with the drugstore is that you usually go to buy some essential item such as toothpaste or to fill a prescription. On this particular day, I was there to buy hair removal cream, very glamorous I know.
As I walked through the aisles searching for this all-important item, I came upon some other products that just so happened to fall into my basket and make it home with me.
Here are these pesky items that made my casual drugstore trip slightly bit more costly.
As I walked by the Maybelline stand I picked up a new Brow Drama in Blonde, this is my favourite everyday brow product and I was all out of my previous tube, so this purchase was actually justified. I also stocked up on the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle in Light. I usually get the lighter shade Fair, but it seemed I picked up the wrong one, oops. I guess I’ll be going back to the drugstore at some point soon.
Another product I had run out of and put off repurchasing to see if I could find something better is the Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent. A simple product, not very exciting, but does its job perfectly like no other product out there.
It’s become quite difficult for me to resist nail polish these days and this time was no exception. I chose to purchase the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel #640 in Totem-ly Yours. A nude-pink shade that looks great for the Fall season and I am quite excited to try it out.
For hair care, I tend to be very minimalistic and only apply an oil after showering and dry shampoo when my roots get a bit oily. I’ve been wanting a serum to apply nightly for extra repairing power, so this is what I picked up: the Dove Style+Care Frizz-Proof Cream-Serum. I’ll let you know how this goes.
The final thing I got is some extra Bioderma Micellar Solution. This is my go-to face cleansing product in the morning and my final makeup removing step in the evening. I got the two bottles because they were cheaper together and the travel size since they don’t always carry them and they are essential on any trip.
There you have it, my drugstore trip turned into a haul. Let me know if this ever happens to you.
