A couple days ago, I went to Shopper’s Drug Mart and spent my points on a whole lot of good stuff. There is a rewards system at my local drugstore (Canadian drugstore) that lets you accumulate points when you shop there and eventually can redeem these points as money in store. A few times a year they have a special ‘spend your points’ event that allows shoppers to get even more bang for their buck.
Of course I took full advantage of this event and went all out spending mode to redeem my points. Here are the items that made their way into my basket.
My main purchase was the Juicy Couture I Am Juicy Couture Eau de Parfum. Perfume is expensive, so getting them for seemingly free is always the best way to acquire such a pricy item. It’s their newest scent and when I spritzed on a couple weeks ago, I knew this was coming home with me during this event. It’s sweet, but not sickly sweet, and has some fruity notes.
I picked a few new beauty items, such as the Essie Angora Cardi Polish, L’Oréal Miss Manga Mascara, Covergirl Intensify Me! Liquid Liner, L’Oréal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush, and Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in 613 Midnight Rendezvous.
Some not so exciting items also made their way into my basket, such as eye drops, dental floss, bobby pins and toothpaste.
I also repurchased a few well-loved items that I had missed in my collection or routine lately, Joico K-Pak Conditioner is the best for damaged hair, Maybelline Instant Dark Circle Eraser in Fair is amazing at concealing under eye darkness and brightening up the face, Covergirl Supersize Mascara.
Yummy snacks are essential when blogging, working, watching TV, pretty much all the time, so of course I grabbed some dark chocolate and some roasted seaweed. Some bubblegum and mint gum also made its way home with me. As a final touch, a couple new magazines for December were added to my cart.
And those were all the items that I bought with my Optimum points on Saturday.
