February Favorites 2016

I am finally able to sit down and write out a new blog post! This feels so great to have a couple hours free to be able to do this. It’s been a hectic 6 weeks, to say the least, and I am almost done. The big move is less than one week away!

Until then, let’s take a look at the products that kept me sane over the past four weeks.

L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

I picked this up at the beginning of the month on a whim. I tried it out a few days later and fell in love instantly. The packaging definitely does not do this product justice. The exterior is ugly and cheap, but the stuff inside is gold. The coverage is amazing, very full, the staying power is just as great and the finish is surprisingly natural and not at all cakey. I had heard many bloggers rave about this stuff, but never thought too much about it, but now I kinda regret waiting so long to try it.

Mac Lipsticks in Lady Danger and Fanfare

Rest assured, I don’t mix these two shades together and wear them at once. I have been alternating these two quite consistently throughout the month. Lady Danger is my favourite red, it’s orange-based and very vibrant, but still business-appropriate. Fanfare is a yellow-toned pink shade that adds just the right amount of colour to the lips for a daytime look.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance

The first time I tried this out, I wasn’t convinced it was anything special. However, I’ve pretty much only used this primer on my eyes the entire month and now I’m debating whether I should repurchase this one or the UD Primer Potion. That’s saying a lot!

Maybelline FitMe Concealer

Not sure if I’ve ever talked about this product before, but here it is. Gives great coverage and lasts throughout long tiring days. I use this on spots and blemishes.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

This blush was a long-overdue purchase and after using it a lot more this month, I am even more happy to have it in my collection. Even though it’s a coral shade, it’s so luminous and pretty that it works with a wide range of makeup looks.

Lush Dream Cream Body Lotion

Since I couldn’t repurchase my Lush Charity Pot, I decided to try the Dream Cream. I used Charity Pot as a hand cream before bed, so that is how I’ve been using Dream Cream and I am very happy with my purchase. The scent is also quite calming, which is a plus at night.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal

As if I need any more highlighters, but I couldn’t resist giving this a go. It applies beautifully on the skin and lasts very well on the skin. My makeup feels incomplete if I don’t use this.

Ahhh!!! This felt great! Being able to blog regularly has really been something I’ve missed. I cannot wait to be settled in my new place and to be able to set a routine again. I hope you all had a great month and that March will be even better. Share some product recommendations down in the comments.

xx
