Morphe is another brand that has been really popular on the blogosphere lately. The brand makes brushes and some eyeshadow palettes as well, which is what I picked up.
I purchased all my Morphe products on Hautelook.com, it’s a website where they have sales on different items every day.
Hautelook dropped the ball on this order this time, it took two months from the order date for it to arrive. I had contacted their customer service a few times enquiring about the arrival date of my order and each time they were unable to give me any information. After finally receiving the order they sent me an email apologizing for the error in the Morphe event.
I am unsure whether or not I will be placing another order with them in the future.
For now let’s take a closer look at the items that I was really excited to try out.
35W-35 Color Warm Palette
I saw this palette and new I had to add it to my bag. It contains all the neutral colours one could possibly need for any day or night makeup look. Plus, there are some more pinky shades to add some pops of colour. The shimmery shades are really pigmented, the mattes are ok, but that’s ok with me because I prefer shimmer over matte.
That Glow Bronzer Palette
This palette is another eye-catcher. Nine beautiful shades of matte and shimmery bronzers to suit many skin tones. It will easily work for me all year round, when I’m pasty white in the winter and when I have a bit more of a glow in the summer. The shades that are just too dark will be used as eyeshadow. They are decently pigmented, which is fine for the price I paid.
Set 690 – 6 Piece Deluxe Contour Set
I wanted to try their brushes since these are the items that have become oh so talked about lately. They are synthetic bristles, which I prefer. The brushes are all really soft and blend product well.
MB39 – Deluxe Buffer Brush
This brush looked similar to some of my Real Techniques brushes that I love for applying my foundation. This one is also pretty good. It is soft and applies product quickly over a large surface.
Those were my initial thoughts on the items I got from Morphe. I am impressed so far and I would be interested in trying more of their products.
