A couple weeks ago, I had the most amazing time spending a day wandering around San Francisco. It was my first time in this beautiful city and I fell completely head over heels in love with San Fran.
I obviously snapped a few pics while I was there, so here they are along with brief description of my day there.
I started out early in the morning and walked to see Lombard Street. The famous street where numerous movie scenes have been filmed and where you will find an equal amount of asian tourists with selfie sticks.
It was so cool to see! The street itself is quite long and only this one block is curved and well-known. The landscaping along the side walks and steps is beautiful and the view of the city from the top is gorgeous. A definite must-see for those going to San Francisco.
Along the coast there are many many things to see, eat and shop. It’s also the place to go observe seals sunning themselves on the docks. That area is very touristy with many souvenir shops and many people, but it’s fun to walk around quickly.
The famous prison is now a very popular tourist attraction. I did not take the boat and do the tour of the prison itself. Tickets are reserved in advance and are hard to get last minute. One can get a good view from the pier.
A cool spot to shop, walk and eat some delicious food. I was told I needed to have some clam chowder, so I did just that. It comes in a sourdough bread bowl and is fantastically delicious. You can just walk up to a stand, buy it and walk away with this amazingness for under ten dollars. Such a bargain!
Most of my day in San Francisco was spent wandering around and taking pictures of the pastel houses and steep streets. People who live in San Francisco must be very fit. Those hills are a killer after several hours. I had the chance to be there on such a beautifully sunny day, I took full advantage and snapped as many pics as I could.
I definitely will be going back to San Francisco one day. There is so much to see, do and eat. I didn’t get the chance to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, I’ll have to do that next time!
Until next post y’all! Good night
