Getting Ready For Summer: Bronzer Edition

It’s finally time to bust out the sandals, shorts, floral dresses and heaps of sunscreen. Well, it’s not actually that hot out yet, but one can never be too prepared. The sun has been out a lot lately and I did get my first sun burn of the year while relaxing in the park the other day, so in my mind that pretty much means summer is here!

theBalm Bahama Mama

This is the darkest bronzer I own, which means I can really only pull it off during the hot summer months when I am not ghostly white.

Réserve Naturelle Terra Cotta

My favourite bronzer will continue being used throughout the year. A satin finish that is the perfect shade for my skin, doesn’t make me look muddy or orange.

Physician’s Formula Bronze Booster in Light to Medium

This is a shimmery bronzer with four shades that are supposed to work for every season. However, I tend to only like shimmery bronzers in the warmer months.

9 BZ Morphe Brushes That Glow Bronzer Palette

A palette with nine bronzer options really is ideal. During the summer I get a bit darker, but in Canada, one can never rely on the weather. I’ve had weeks during the summer of no sun and plenty of rain. My colour can change from week to week, so many options is better than less options.

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Wisp

This is sold as a highlighter, but the shade is clearly too dark for my skin tone. I therefore choose to use it as a bronzer or as an eyeshadow.

Becca Cosmetics Champagne Glow Palette

This palette is the best way to get your glow on. It has three shades and each can be layered on top of a blush or bronzer or worn by itself. They are all pigmented, super shimmery and gorgeous.

If you are looking for a summer glow, I hope I gave you some options and inspiration.

Have a good night everyone.
