After receiving this palette in the mail a couple weeks back after succumbing to yet another Sephora VIB sale, I knew I would have to create a post dedicated just to it.
Marble is a very trendy pattern these days and I applaud Hourglass for jumping on the band wagon. I myself am a huge fan of anything marble. I think it adds such a clean and modern aesthetic to blog photos or even room decor. The palette is small and light, which is also great for traveling and has a nice big mirror. Needless to say, this palette’s packaging gets an A+ in my books.
All the shades in this palette are new, which is really cool. It’s a unique, limited edition palette with shades that cannot be found anywhere else. This somehow justifies the high price tag, sort of. The range of shades is really nice and the different uses they offer is great. There are five shades; two blushes, one bronzer, one strobe powder and one finishing powder.
- Surreal Light (powder)
- Surreal Bronze Light (bronzer)
- Surreal Glow (blush)
- Surreal Effect (blush)
- Surreal Strobe Light (powder)
Hourglass powders are always wonderful. I’ve tried some before and have never been disappointed. They are finely milled, which means a little goes a long way. These powders are no different. I love every shade, they make my skin appear as if it is glowing from within.
There is no other word than pretty to describe this product. In the pan the powders are pretty and on the skin too.
If you have been wanting to try Hourglass powders and you have a little money to splurge or if you want to spoil someone on your Christmas list who loves makeup, then I absolutely recommend grabbing this up while they are still in stock. It’s definitely a luxury item and not a necessity, but I do not regret my purchase one little bit.
Hope you enjoyed this instalment of Blogmas.
I’ll be back in a couple days.
