Easy DIY Mason Jar Gifts (Blogmas Day 8)

If you haven’t found the ideal gift for someone on your list, may I suggest making something for them ?

The mason jar trend is still going strong and there are many DIY gift ideas using them on Pinterest.

I chose to make hot chocolate jars three different ways to offer my friends.

These jars were inspired by The Domestic Geek on Youtube.

1- Classic Hot Chocolate

1/4 cup powdered milk

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

Combine powdered ingredients then place in jar. Pour in chocolate chips. Top with mini marshmallows.

2- Birthday Cake Hot Chocolate

1/4 cup powdered milk

1/2 cup vanilla pudding mix

3 tbps white cake mix

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

rainbow sprinkles

Combine powdered ingredients then place in jar. Pour in sprinkles and mini marshmallows.

3- Butterscotch Hot Chocolate

1/4 cup powdered milk

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

1/2 butterscotch chips

Combine powdered ingredients then place in jar. Pour in butterscotch chips, chocolate chips and top with mini marshmallows.

Then you just have to write out instructions for the receiver to have in order to actually make the hot chocolate.

Instructions:

Place marshmallows aside.

Shake contents of jar.

In saucepan, add 1/4 cup of mixture with 1 1/4 cup of milk.

Whisk until all chocolate is melted.

Top with a few marshmallows.

Enjoy!

These were super easy to make and my friends were very happy to receive them.

Have a wonderful evening !

xx
