Merry Christmas everyone!!! I hope you are all spending a wonderful holiday with family, friends and loved ones. If you do not celebrate Christmas I hope you are having a wonderful day nonetheless.
I’m coming to you today with my final Blogmas post and probably the final post of 2016. I’ll be back in the New Year, of course, but until then here are some things I’d like to accomplish in 2017, related or not to my blog.
1. Read more
I have always loved reading. It’s something that relaxes me and that really gets my mind out of the present and into a whole new world. I’d really like to read one book per month, at least, in 2017 and each month write a book review on the blog. In a world of technology and social media, sitting down with a good book is just so wonderful.
2. Grow my blog
Blogging is something that I truly enjoy doing. Creating content for my blog is my creative outlet and I love it. This year I changed my blog name and blog layout and it’s time for 2017 to bring even bigger blogging things.
3. Get back into yoga
Earlier this year I discovered the wonders of hot yoga and went to classes consistently every week. However, since moving and my new jet-set life I haven’t been going to yoga classes as much as I’d like. After every class my mind and body would feel amazing and I know it’s something that benefits me so much and that I need in my routine.
4. Eat clean
I’m quite a healthy eater normally, but lately I’ve been falling ill a lot. So, a good thing to start doing is eating as clean as possible. Having some smoothies and juices. Stir fries with lots of veggies and huge salads with tons of good ingredients are on my recipe list for the New Year.
5. Be more present
This is something I do struggle with and need to improve on in order to be more stress-free and zen. I feel as though I am often looking forward to the next day, the next week, something to happen at a later time and I tend to not fully enjoy the moments I live right now.
Notice how I didn’t say these are resolutions. I do not like the word and believe that goals are better because it implies something to work towards instead of something that is bad and must be changed.
I wish you all an amazing last week of 2016 and a Happy New Year!
See you all in 2017.
