Sappy, stereotypical, over-done, romantic stories be gone! Jojo Moyes has hit the nail on the head when it comes to unconventional love. She writes a beautiful story about realness and the true struggles of living with tragedy and heartbreak.
I absolutely adored both these books and I am here today to share a wee summary of both books, without revealing any important story lines.
Jojo Moyes has now become one of my favourite authors and you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be reading more of her novels in the future.
Me Before You
Will Traynor and Louisa Clark meet in an unexpected way and must learn to get along for both of their sakes. The first novel in this story shows how devastating losing ones capacity to fully use one’s own body can be on everyone. Both characters will pull you and make you fall in love. However, this one’s a real tear-jerker, get the tissues ready.
The sequel to the critically-acclaimed first book shows the life of Louisa after her employment with the Traynors ends and her struggles to live on her own in the busy London metropolis. She meets new people who will once again turn her life upside down. You will once again be gripped and want to turn every page as quickly as possible. Get the tissues ready for this one as well.
Now if you have already read both these books and are wondering whether the movie is worth the watch, I would say it is. Usually movies really lack that little something that the books always have extra. However, the movie is very well adapted from the story and the actors cast in the roles of Louisa Clark and Will Traynor are absolutely perfect.
I hope you are all having a wonderful evening.
