Blogging Made Me Buy It

This tag is going around YouTube right now and people are showing their viewers what YouTube has influenced them to buy. I thought it would be a fun little thing to do on the blog.

I have purchased many makeup, skincare and hair care items because I watched my favourite YouTubers rave about them over and over again. I have now gathered up a few key items that I definitely was influenced into buying and that I am absolutely in love with now.

These are the things that blogging made me buy and that I am very happy about.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Porcelain

Too Faced was never known for their base products, they were known for eyeshadows, great packaging and quirky names. However, the game was changed when they came out with their Born This Way range. The foundation is infused with coconut water and hyaluronic acid, which is great for the skin. It lasts very well on the skin, has great coverage and looks very natural. This is probably my new HG foundation, so much so that I’ve fully used it up and will need to purchase a new bottle ASAP.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

A very hyped up product, this mascara claims to be better than sex. That’s a huge claim for a makeup product. But this product works ! It’s my favourite mascara, it’s cruelty free and I always get compliments on my lashes when I use it.

Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne

Jo Malone fragrances are very expensive, but they are unique and last very well on throughout the day. I kept hearing about their new scent, wood sage and sea salt and the second I found myself in front of a Jo Malone counter I had to smell it for myself. It was love at first whiff, and I bought it that day.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 54 Boy

One of my most-watched YouTubers, Estée Lalonde, mentioned this lipstick as the perfect everyday shade many times. When I was in duty free one day and wanted to treat myself I ended up buying it. It has now become one of my favourite lipsticks and it always looks good. It’s one of those shades that never disappoints.

L’Oréal Infallible Eyeshadow in 892 Amber Rush

I never really dabbled into l’Oréal before I started blogging and watching YouTube, because it’s drugstore, but a little more expensive than the other brands such as Maybelline, Rimmel, and Revlon. People kept talking about these shadows, so eventually I caved and bought this one. It’s insanely pigmented and the perfect rose gold shade. Plus, it’s under ten dollars.

e.l.f. Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia

This is one of these products that you cannot believe is actually going to work because it costs so little. This contouring duo retails for $4, that’s mind boggling. For fair skin tones, St. Lucia is ideal. A peachy-coral blush with some shimmer and not-orange-at-all bronzer. It also travels well. What more could you ask for ?

Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

This may be the very first high end makeup product I purchased, the one that started it all. I’ve used the crap out of this palette, so much that I have hit pan on some shades and am considering repurchasing the entire palette just for those specific colours.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit in Surreal Light

I never splurged as much on one item as I did with this one. The packaging, the shades, the blogging potential, all those factors made me purchase this palette. To tell you the truth, I do not regret it one little bit. Hourglass powders are hyped up because they are worth it, and this palette has five different ones.

I hope you enjoyed this fun little beauty tag.

Have an amazing Thursday !
