Current Favourites: Beauty, Books, TV Shows, and more!

As I was trying to figure out what I should blog about this week and perusing through some old posts I realized I haven’t done a proper ‘favourites’ post in quite some time. Since it was way over due, and I love reading and writing these kinds of posts, it was a no-brainer.

Keep on reading to discover what I’ve been loving lately.


When I do my makeup, I have realized that not adding this vital final touch truly makes a world of difference. Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder is a must in my routine. It’s a pressed powder that sets everything in place and keeps me from getting too oily. It’s no secret that I’ve been in love with the liquid lipstick trend, but the Real Her Lip Plumping Gloss in Nude has caught my eye and lips are happy.

As for skincare items I’ve been loving… I can say the all The Ordinary products I have tried over the past little while have impressed me so much. My skin is happy, the products are good, and the price is amazingly low. I really should do a full on skincare routine post soon.


Last month I raved about Mastering Your Mean Girl  and how it literally (or literary) has changed my life. I still recommend this book to anyone who will listen and try to apply the principles in the book to my daily life. I’ve since picked up the fourth instalment in the Millennium series, The Girl in the Spider Web.

TV Shows

Netflix has been stepping up its game lately and I’ve been discovering so many good series to binge watch including Girlboss. I love this show so much. It’s fun, quirky, motivating, and real. I read the book it’s based on a couple years ago and I recommend both. I’ve also been enjoying watching season 3 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, it’s super quirky, different and funny. The characters are special but you learn to love them.


Meditation has to be mentioned in this post. It’s been mentioned before and will be mentioned again in the future I am sure. I have just discovered meditating recently and I am still getting used to it all and learning and improving everyday, but I love it and I feel the benefits already. Eating super healthy and living without added or artificial sugar is surprisingly something I have learned to love during the month of May.
