The first month of the year has come and gone already! Wow that was fast.
I’ve been lacking on posts yet again but I’ve been working behind the scenes to make sure I’m fully set up here to be able to create the content I want for my blog.
Without further ado, let’s get into the things that made me quite the happy gal in January.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
I had been using another setting powder and liked it enough but it wasn’t a product that wowed me in any way. This Laura Mercier powder has been getting amazing reviews for years. Finally I caved and purchased it. One of the best Sephora makeup buys I have made in a long time. It makes my makeup look absolutely flawless and makes it last a lot longer.
Open Wide by Melissa Ambrosini
I raved about Melissa’s first book, Mastering Your Mean Girl, and I was extremely excited to get my hands on her second book. I was so impatient to start reading this new gem that I made my friend, who was going to Australia, pick it up for me. For some reason it’s only currently available in Australia for the moment and will be released in other countries in March. I couldn’t wait that long! I have, of course, already started reading and cannot wait to assimilate all the knowledge this beautiful soul has to offer.
This cute little notebook is meant to be used to record daily gratitudes. It’s pink and soft and perfect for keeping up with positive thoughts. I haven’t been recording everything everyday, but I have tried to make as many entries as possible.
An amazon.ca purchase that I am very happy about. To be honest I’m always happy with what I buy on amazon, but that should be for another post. These sunglasses are cute and they were less than twenty Canadian dollars. They have mirrored pink lenses that are just so cute and will make great accessories to spring and summer outfits I believe.
Too Faced Hangover RX Primer
Not being one for primers, ever, having one as a favourite is definitely a first. I bought this primer by mistake actually. I thought I was buying the peach spray, but instead wound up coming home with this. I tried it out and ended up LOVING it. Now I can’t wear a full face of makeup without using this first. It hydrates my skin throughout the day, makes my makeup look way better and I feel I have a better face after several hours of wear when I use this.
Lush Mask of Magnaminty
I used this mask a couple years ago and I loved it. I ran out of it and didn’t repurchase for the simple reason that I had many many many other masks to use up first. I went into Lush a couple weeks ago and just couldn’t resist buying it again and I have not regretted my purchase. It makes you look like a green monster while wearing it, but your skin feels so smooth after that it doesn’t matter.
A not-pictured but definitely loved favourite of this past month has been my car! I finally bought a new vehicle and I cannot be more thrilled to be mobile and have that extra little bit of freedom in my new city.
Have an amazing week everyone and until next time.
