Since I haven’t done a makeup post in a while, it was about time makeup make an appearance on the blog. Plus, with the Sephora VIB Sale in full swing, it seemed like an appropriate time to share makeup items I’ve been really liking lately.
Enjoy this post and don’t blame me if you run out and spend all your money afterwards 😉 !
I’ve accumulated a few new items that are either brand new or just new to me and I thought I’d share them with you.
Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara
This mascara has had one of the biggest launches I’ve maybe ever witnessed in the beauty blogging community. There was so much hype around this new product and then the initial reviews for so great that I pretty much had no choice but to purchase it and try it out for myself. I have to say WOW! This mascara is magic! It literally makes my eyelashes look fake. I will definitely be repurchasing.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
I recently mentioned this in another post, but it’s so good it deserves a second mention. Such a nice, soft, no fuss powder that makes any makeup look appear that much more flawless. If you’re in the market for a new powder, check this one out.
Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation (shade 2.0)
This foundation came out last year and so many mixed reviews followed that I tried to avoid purchasing this product for the longest time. I finally caved and have since given it a fair try and am quite happy with it. It’s not a foundation I’d wear to work, because somehow it makes me look like a complete mess at 35 000 ft, but when I have my two feet on solid ground, it works like a charm.
Marc Jacobs Invisible UnderCover Perfecting Coconut Face Primer
I must be honest with y’all here, the coconut lured me in here. It’s an expensive product, and I was a bit hesitant to make the purchase, but I’m not mad at it. The texture is wonderful, it melts into the skin really nicely and really does make my foundation look and feel better. Do I think it’s worth the high price tag, perhaps not, but I have it now and like it, and use it, so there you go.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation (shade 091 Light Ivory)
I might have found a new favourite foundation here. It’s matte, super high coverage, long lasting and it works for long work days. Super easy and travel-friendly packaging. Plus, it’s from the drugstore, so it’s affordable.
Colourpop No Filter Concealer (fair neutral 10)
It’s not a secret that I’m a big Colourpop fan. Their eyeshadows and liquid lipsticks are some of my all time faves. When they came out with concealers I just had to try it out and see for myself how good it was. I was not disappointed. This stuff is comparable to NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and at a fraction of the price. I’ve been using it under my eyes and on any spots and it works wonderfully.
There you have it folks, finally another blog post up, some new makeup items I am obsessed with, everything is back to normal.
Let me know what you’ve been loving lately.
